Stone, porcelain, timber and tactile surfaces selected to give the room depth without visual noise.
Contemporary Bathrooms · Bath & Bristol
Contemporary bathrooms,
shaped around the home.
Considered contemporary bathrooms combining architectural clarity, warmer materials, thoughtful detailing and complete design, supply and installation.
Contemporary Bathrooms
Calm spaces.
Carefully resolved.
Contemporary bathroom design is often associated with simplicity, but the most successful rooms are rarely simple to create.
Proportion, sightlines, lighting, storage and the relationship between materials all need to be resolved carefully for the finished room to feel effortless.
At Foxwood Bathrooms, we design around the architecture of the property and the way the room will actually be lived in. The result is contemporary without becoming clinical, and refined without relying on unnecessary detail.
Designed Around the Interior
Contemporary,
without feeling
clinical.
Clean lines do not have to mean cold interiors.
Timber, stone, softly textured surfaces, warmer metals and carefully controlled lighting can give a contemporary bathroom depth without distracting from its architecture.
We prefer rooms where materials complement one another quietly. The strongest details are often the ones that appear completely natural once the bathroom is finished.
Material & Detail
Simplicity depends
on the details.
Proportion
Fittings, furniture and architectural lines balanced around the dimensions of the room.
Light
Natural, task and ambient lighting considered together to change the atmosphere of the room throughout the day.
Modern Living
Designed to feel
effortless to live with.
A contemporary bathroom has to work as well as it looks. Storage needs to disappear into the room, circulation should feel natural and everyday products should have somewhere practical to live.
Behind the finished surfaces sit waterproofing, plumbing, ventilation, electrical work and carefully prepared substrates. These technical elements may not be visible, but they are fundamental to how well the room performs over time.
The Foxwood Process
From the first conversation
to the final detail.
Foxwood remains your point of responsibility throughout the project, bringing design, supply, installation and aftercare together within one considered process.
01
Home Consultation
We visit the property to understand the room, architecture, practical requirements and what you want the finished space to achieve.
02
Initial Design
The layout and design direction are developed around your home, requirements and the way the bathroom needs to work.
03
Specification
Sanitaryware, furniture, brassware, tiles and finishes are selected with specialist guidance once the design direction has been agreed.
04
Final Proposal
The agreed design, materials and Foxwood installation works are brought together into one clear proposal before work begins.
05
Installation
Our Foxwood team manages the principal installation, with trusted specialist trades coordinated by us where required.
06
Handover & Aftercare
The bathroom is inspected before handover and backed by our 12-month workmanship guarantee.
Colour & Finish
A restrained palette
can still have depth.
Contemporary interiors often benefit from a limited material palette, but limited should never mean flat.
Variations in texture, tone and reflectivity can create layers throughout the room: matt surfaces against glass, warmer timber alongside stone, or softly lit plaster against more precise architectural lines.
The aim is to create an interior that continues to feel interesting after the initial impact has passed.
The Foxwood Standard
Carefully managed.
Beautifully finished.
A well-designed bathroom deserves the same care during installation. Our standard covers not only the finished room, but the way the project is managed within your home.

Case Studies
Different homes.
Different answers.
Contemporary design can mean very different things in different properties. Some rooms call for quiet minimalism; others need richer materials, stronger contrast or a more architectural approach.
